Since the first 1.10 pre-release is already available, I'm going to try and push for a 1.9.4 update to SMP as soon as possible.

Long weekend for me this weekend, so watch this space :D

BTW - I'd highly recommend that everyone follows this thread, you can follow it by finding the "Follow" button at the top. Following will notify you of replies (you can choose how you'd like to be notified).

Some minor work this evening around the scheduled restart.  Sorry it took longer then I planned.

  • Updated the EssentialsX plugins on all servers.
  • Updated worldguard/worldedit/asyncworldedit on smp
  • Added irc config on skyblock so it shows up in #all

Lol that was funny, for a few mins EssentialsAntiBuild decided to blacklist EVERY item/block. But Zore used his automagical powers and fixed it!

Adjusted vanilla Worldborder radius from world/world_the_end from 4,000 -> 6,000.  Area is now 2.25 times larger ((2*6,000)^2 / (2*4,000)^2).

I have disabled the 1.8 hub.  Anyone connecting with 1.8 will connect directly to the smp server (until we upgrade that to 1.9.x).

Also updated bungeecord for 1.10 protocol support, on the off chance I get bored and want to bring up a 1.10 server at some point in the next week or two.

We are currently performing checks on the server, please refrain from connecting to the server at this moment as it actually causes a lot of console spam and is difficult for us to identify any potentials issues.

I'll update the server message when we are ready for everyone to join again.

Edit: sorry for the delay guys! We'll be done very soon :)

    The SMP server has been updated from Spigot version 1.8.9 to 1.9.4 and is now open for everyone to join again.

    Updated the following plugins:

    • AdminChat - 1.3.0 -> 1.4.3
    • AsyncWorldEdit - 3.3.7 -> 3.3.10
    • AutomaticInventory - 2.1.8 -> 2.5.5
    • AutoMessage - 2.5.2 -> 2.5.5
    • AutoRank - 3.5.1 -> 3.7.3
    • BiomeTP - 3.0 -> 3.2
    • Buycraft - 6.8.3 -> 10.1
    • CommunityBridge - 2.6 -> 2.6 dev
    • dynmap - 2.2 alpha 2 -> 2.3 alpha 3
    • EmptyWorldGenerator - 1.4 -> 1.5
    • Essentials - 2.0.1 b346 -> 2.0.1 b352
    • GriefPrevention - 13.9.1 -> 14.7
    • HolographicDisplays - 2.1.10 -> 2.2
    • JDynmapGriefPrevention - 2.4 -> 2.5.1
    • MultiVerse Core - 2.5-b691 -> 2.5b717
    • MultiVerse NetherPortals - 2.5-b685 -> 2.5b712
    • NoPlugins - 1.2.1 -> 2.0.1
    • RandomTeleport - 1.7.0 -> 1.7.2
    • ReportRTS - 1.2.2-b194 -> 2.0.0
    • ServerSigns - 4.5 -> 4.5.1
    • Shopkeepers - 1.6.1 -> 1.75
    • TerrainControl - 2.7.2 -> 2.8.1
    • TitleManager - 1.5.4 -> 1.5.11
    • TreeAssist - 5.8.89 -> 5.10.1
    • WorldBorder - 1.8.3 -> 1.8.5
    • WorldEdit - 6.1.1-b3463 -> 6.1.3-b3552
    • WorldGuard - 6.1.2b1653 -> 6.1.2b1664

    Removed the following plugins:

    • MultiInv
    • TuxTwoLib
    • HorseTeleport

    Also made a few other tweaks to the server:

    • Added a world border to world_the_end with a radius of 1300 from 0,0.
    • Set a WorldGuard region around the island in world_the_end to keep players from building towards the outer islands.
    • Disabled access to EndermanFarm1, it no longer works in 1.9.4. Access to EndermanFarm2 is now available to all players (not just level 5+).
    • Removed world border from world_ores_the_end - exploration is currently not limited (subject to change).
    • Join/leave messages have been changed. Joining messages are now green and leaving messages are now red, to help distinguish between the two. Also added the emojis again, since people liked those originally.

    Some other notes to be aware of:

    • The /buy command currently does not have anything available in the UI. Please visit store.diversitysmp.com instead if you wish you contribute to the server. FIXED.
    • These biome warps currently do not work: Mega Taiga, Mega Spruce Taiga, Flower Forest, Sunflower Plains, Mesa (Bryce), Ice Spikes, Ice Plains, Cold Taiga. DO NOT use these warps or you will waste diamonds. FIXED.

    I will look into getting these fixed as soon as possible. If you come across any other issues, PLEASE let staff know ASAP. Use the /ticket system if you need to.

      Have changed the auto-kick time for AFK players from 4 hours to 30 minutes to try and help with the bad lag we've had since updating to 1.9.4.

      This may not be a permanent change, we just wanted to see if it helps.

      Updated all 1.9.x servers to a newer build of spigot that supposedly fixes some performance issues. Lets see if this makes things work better.

      I have changed the regeneration script for resetting the Ores worlds:

      • The regeneration process will take 3 hours.
      • All worlds are not accessible during this time.
      • There will be warning messages every 30 minutes reminding players about the regeneration process and how much longer it is expected to take.

      The Ores End world also now has a world border added, with a radius of 5000 from 0,0. We are experimenting with a few options here so next week may be different. Please give us feedback on whether you think this world border change is good or not.

      So just no ores worlds for 3 hours or no SMP or Vanilla too? And by regenerate, do you mean that all chunks are generated at once rather than as explored?

      Sorry for the confusion there.

      Only the ORES worlds are not accessible during this time.

      Yep, the reason the process takes so long is because of chunk generation, we're forcing the server to generate the chunks up to the world border. It's a safety precaution as sometimes when players manually generate chunks while exploring, the TerrainControl plugin may make the server crash. We choose to do this during a time when not many players are online as the generation process can be resource intensive.
