  1. - WARP REQUEST FORM - My warp request is for a PLACE The X and Z co-ordinates for the place where I'd like the warp landing spot are x = -83226, z = -56906 My build is FINISHED I have read and understood the guideline & requirements thread: YES * With this application I confirm that my build is SAFE and no mobs can spawn there. It is 100% claimed by me, with subclaims for appropriate areas. I have spent time and effort making it look nice, and I have placed signs to guide and inform visitors. * I promise to not pester staff in-game or here on the forums about this application. Instead I will be patient and wait for replies, and answer any questions asked. If any changes to my build are requested, I will work with staff to make them happen. * If my application is rejected, I won't complain or whine. Instead I will go back to working on my build and improve it so that it can be approved in the future, when it meets the requirements. * If my application is approved, I won't rest on my laurels but will continue to uphold the standard of my build and maintain the location. If it is a town, I will assist with any concerns the citizens raise and evict inactive or banned players. I may expand as need be, and I will design my spot in the warp hub to match my build. My build is a nine-hole golf course, the likes of which this server has never seen. Much care was taken to ensure the course's user-friendliness and overall eye-appeal. I worked tirelessly to place torches over the entirety of the course so that no pesky mobs interfere with the golfers' experience. The spawn area comes equipped with spare "clubs" and "golf balls" with a complementary instruction book. Each hole comes with a map and the total yardage of each hole to assist players. In short, I poured an insane amount of effort into this golf course, and will continue to maintain the course as necessary.

    Seed and Dye Farm

My warp request is for a FARM. The X and Z co-ordinates for the place where I'd like the warp landing spot are 61657 64 -89804 My build is IN PROGRESS. I have read and understood the guideline & requirements thread: YES * With this application I confirm that my build is SAFE and no mobs can spawn there. It is 100% claimed by me, with subclaims for appropriate areas. I have spent time and effort making it look nice, and I have placed signs to guide and inform visitors. * I promise to not pester staff in-game or here on the forums about this application. If it is a town, I will assist with any concerns the citizens raise and evict inactive or banned players. I may expand as need be, and I will design my spot in the warp hub to match my build. My farm gives out seeds and dyes; the server does not have a seed/dye farm warp, so I figured it needs one.

    Warp Locations

So, as most of you forum users probably know, I recently became the proud owner of one of Diversity's featured builds in the hub. (Thanks again staff ) Anyway, I was looking at the other warps, and I noticed that there are no longer any spaces for future warps in the places section. I'd be shocked if the staff hasn't already realized this, and I'm sure they'll come out with a great solution, but I wanted to give my 2 cents worth of input on the issue. I think that we should swap the town warps with the place warps. There are 29 more available spots in the towns section. That's more empty plots than towns. If we simply moved all the town warps to the places section and vice versa, along with switching the big white signs, we would have an appropriate amount of space for both categories. (5 more plots for towns, and 24 more plots for places) "But Narwhal! Wait! Isn't this still kind of unfair to the towns? I mean, this is only a very temporary fix before the towns will run out of room!" Well, considerate Diversity member, I'm glad you asked! Yes, it is a temporary fix. Eventually, we will have to find a more permanent, complicated, annoying solution. This just procrastinates that as long as possible. Towns tend to come about a lot slower than places anyway. Also, there are some towns whose warps don't even work. You can't even tp to them. And, some towns are completely absent of members! These dead towns could be removed to make room for more new towns. "Narwhal! You're digging yourself into a hole! isn't it unfair that your build gets to be permanent, but their builds get removed?" Excellent question. How about this: the dead towns just get transferred from the towns section to the newly expanded places section. This way, players can still admire those historical towns out there. Anyway, I hope this was helpful staff. Thanks. ~Narwhal

I AGREE SCREENSHOTS // DESCRIPTIONS: This is 1/3 Statues in the pathway to the Arena itself. Very fitting for a pvp arena This one is the fighter, the one in the back is a warrior This is the 3/3 stone statue: The Mage. Also includes the wall of the arena in teh background Side shot into the arena. Kinda of eroded pathway into the entrance. Two pathways can be taken. Contestants // Spectators Frontal View of the entrance. As you can see there is a custom banner just made for this arena. Banners were custom made by Camper Who else? This is the inside of the arena. The pvp will be enabled within the black wool. ALSO IMPORTANT: After this photo was take. Fences were added to keep contestants from accidentally being hit out of the pvp enabled area and having an advantage. Ariel overview of the inside A higher View of the arena. Notice the glass dome, so that spectators can't fall in during the fight AND it looks nice <3 Back view of the "eroded // overgrown" arena Part view of TourneyTown (from the space station). Each of the exhibits have a different block pallet to fit it's theme. I.E. The Nether Exhibit has a pallet of blocks native to the Nether, the End Exhibit has blocks native to the End, ect . Right now there are 5 major exhibits: The Nether Exhibit, The End Exhibit, The Armor Hall, The Dungeon Exhibit, and the Head Room. I also have 5 more planned: The Weapons Exhibit, A collection of swords, bows, shields, and axes from other players. the Map Room, showing off map art and cool/iconic places on the server. The Banner Hall, a collection of banners . And the Treasure Room, any items that don't fall into any specific category, like a Spawn Egg. I also have plans to include what I call "rental exhibits", basically someone rents an empty room in the museum, and they keep it there for as long as they want/until they quit the server. If they quit, they understand that everything they leave at the museum is museum property. If they want to take their stuff back, all they need to do is take it. When I started building the museum last year, my goal was to bring together the greatest treasures that not only Minecraft, but the Server has to offer. There are still quite a few things I want to get for the museum(a couple admin heads come to mind immediately), however I feel as though I'm ready to share my work.
  6. In an effort to make sure that the warp hub is showcasing the best that DiversitySMP has to offer, we'll be instituting some new policies in regards to warps. If you have, or are interested in having, a warp to your build at the warp hub, please read the following guidelines and standards: - GUIDELINES AND REQUIREMENTS FOR A WARP - Farms Since we already have farms to most of the types of things that CAN be farmed, new community farm warps need to meet high standards: They should offer an item that is not currently available at one of the existing farms. OR They should be a vast improvement over an already existing farm in some way (efficiency, aesthetics, etc.) Other requirements: Must be fully protected within a claim with appropriate trust levels (container trust public). If a level restriction is requested, please mention it ahead of time! Must be approved by no less than three staff members before a warp is made public. Towns Towns must be more than a few buildings haphazardly slapped together. We want the warp hub to showcase the BEST that DiversitySMP has to offer. Not every town will qualify for a warp -- and that’s okay! Anyone is welcome to build a town and have multiple people live there. You don’t need a warp for that. To qualify for a warp, your town must meet the following guidelines. Your town should show some kind of city planning: There should be roads or some kind of paved paths between houses and buildings. It should be well lit, and some effort to protect it from mobs should be made (fences, walls, lots of lighting). The town roads, lighting, and major buildings should show some kind of aesthetic cohesiveness -- in other words, they should look good: lampposts should match, roads should be consistently made, town buildings should show some effort in design and functionality, etc. A safe landing place for newcomers should be established, with a list of town rules, who the mayor is, and anything else they need to know to become part of the town. Plots for new homes and buildings should be marked out in some way: grassy borders, fenced areas, hedges, signs, etc. Claims: A good town is a safe, protected space for people to live in. With the wrong claims set up, however, it can become a nightmare. We will be extremely strict on these points: Towns MUST be fully claimed; no exceptions. The main claim should NOT have public build trust, or be trusted to anyone other than the town mayor(s). **Note** If you do not have enough claim blocks to claim your town area, please ask a staff member for assistance. Appropriate subclaims must be made around all buildings, with appropriate trust levels. (For example: a community farm should have container trust, a house plot should only be trusted to the person living there.) Town mayors must be able to demonstrate that they know how to set up claims and subclaims without staff assistance. **Note:** You may want to claim a bit of extra area around your town, if you have plans for future expansion. If someone builds very near your town, but is not part of your town, you can still ask them to move. Staff can assist with removing builds that are too close. Good claim example: No one can build nearby. Everything is claimed by the town owner, including paths, decorations, and scenery. Town owner has access to all houses. Bad claim example: In this town any random person can start building nearby. Pathways and decorations are open to griefing. The town owner may not have access to all the individual house claims. Other requirements: Towns that seek to have a warp should look GOOD. Buildings should be well designed, and preferably meet some kind of theme. A messy, lazily put together town will not get a warp. Towns must be approved by no less than three staff members before a warp is made. Other Types of Builds Some builds are not towns or farms, but still deserve their own warp. Examples include: Mini-game locations Spectacular, large builds Useful builds that are not technically farms: i.e. The Netherrail, The Villager Temple, Shop Warp In these cases it may come down to staff discretion whether or not the place deserves its own warp. These types of places should meet certain criteria regardless: They should be aesthetically well built, with a cohesive design that works for whatever the build is. They should be fully protected with appropriate claims and subclaims. An appropriate “landing” location must be established. Signs indicating what the place is and what it should be used for are especially helpful, but may not be strictly needed. (In the case of mini-games, however, please try to explain how the game works!) No less than three staff members must approve the build before a warp is made. - HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR BUILD FOR A WARP - Please read the warp request form, fill it out, and post it in a new thread.
