  1. NEW AND IMPROVED SHEEPFARM SailWizzard - Ohhani10 -Snowballer94 - Zoredache Spring has arrived and with that comes Spring Cleaning! That means we are dusting off the boxes and cleaning out the shelves. Looking among the old and overlooked of Diversity, I feel it's time our sheepfarm got an update. Along with a brand new sheepfarm, here is a list of upgrades and improvements that have made its way through the doors! Additions Doubled the amount of pens for each color of sheep. Speed II beacon to help get you where you need to go faster. Replaced those pesky ladders with Jumpboost II. 100% Mob-Proof. Keeps out even the most persistent of phantoms. We invite everyone to come and check out the new farm, which can be found at the same sheepfarm warp sign labeled "SheepfarmNG" in /warp hub. We'd also like to thank Sail, Hani, Snow, and Zore for their work put into this project! We continue to encourage everyone to contribute to Diversity through builds and forum posts to voice their own ideas on how to improve and maintain our unique community! - The Diversity Staff Team
  2. Warp request no longer needed. Pvp has been enabled for it though, if anyone wants to use the arena for anything, they are free to ask.
  3. IGN: SailWizzard Discord: Chen Jiang#1797 It's Christmas already? (nice)
  4. - WARP REQUEST FORM - NOTE: This is not so much a warp request, but rather an “enabling-pvp-request-form”. I apologize in advance for all the reading. My warp request is for a PLACE (minigame location I guess) The X and Z coordinates for the place where I'd like the warp landing spot are: X: 39903 / Y: 93 / Z: 1968 My build is IN PROGRESS The pvp area itself is finished, but I may/will add other buildings on the outside or come up with other “game modes” to play in the arena. By having pvp enabled, I can run real tests to determine factors of balance and whether areas of the arena need to be modified. I have read and understood the guideline & requirements thread: YES * With this application I confirm that my build is SAFE and no mobs can spawn there. It is 100% claimed by me, with subclaims for appropriate areas. I have spent time and effort making it look nice, and I have placed signs to guide and inform visitors. * I promise to not pester staff in-game or here on the forums about this application. Instead I will be patient and wait for replies, and answer any questions asked. If any changes to my build are requested, I will work with staff to make them happen. * If my application is rejected, I won't complain or whine. Instead I will go back to working on my build and improve it so that it can be approved in the future, when it meets the requirements. * If my application is approved, I won't rest on my laurels but will continue to uphold the standard of my build and maintain the location. If it is a town, I will assist with any concerns the citizens raise and evict inactive or banned players. I may expand as need be, and I will design my spot in the warp hub to match my build. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TIAC Arena (This Is A Cool Arena) :3 By: SailWizzard “A Highly Experimental Arena” Arena size: 118x121 The pvp arena that I have built is unlike the normal “flatbox” arena where two (or more) players repeatedly hit each other until one of them falls dead and the other may lay claim that he is the superior mouse clicker. The purpose of this arena is to take a step away from that kind of bland and stale fighting style. Thumbs up for this arena ^ To begin, the arena takes place on two small islands (with boundaries of course), one being relatively small and mostly barren, while the other is large but littered with many trees. This allows for a simulation of relatively natural terrain and creates many ways for players to utilize the uneven land, trees, and water to create “high ground” advantages which are critical to turn the tides of fights. Larger Island ^ Smaller Island ^ Adding to the idea of “terrain”, under the small island is a simple cave system with three possible entrances/exits giving players a stealth factor to quickly move from between locations. There are three more minor locations players may utilize: The Spires are a series of towers emerging out of the water, which players may parkour/camp on: The Grid is a structured parkour above the water with the main “grid” framework being submerged in the water, which severely limits mobility if a player falls into it: The PvP Arena is your classic sandbox-box arena for those damn players who insist on wanting a “true” test of skill (mouse clicks): The final twist is that each corner of the arena contains a beacon that emits a specific buff (Jump Boost II/ Speed II/ Strength II/ Resistance & Regeneration) exclusively for that area only. Note that while you may have a specific buff, your opponent will also have it. Beacon Buff Locations (respectively): Main Island, The Spires, PvP Arena, The Grid --Entering/Exiting-- The two entrances to the arena are design to ensure both players enter the arena at the same time. Each entrance has a button with a locking mechanism. They are designed to drop the players into the arena only after both buttons have been pressed. I have also included a button to reset the doors and a lever to lock them down. Exiting the arena is relatively straightforward, swimming up any of the two waterfalls next to each entrance point will allow you to leave. --Warp Location-- Visual of the warp location ^ --Enabling Pvp-- The areas of Pvp should fill the entire inside of the “glass box” and also include the the underground cave system. Therefore the most logical way to create the area of pvp would be to use a worldedit style box with the coordinates being: Coordinate 1: X- 39896 / Y- 53 / Z- 2029 Coordinate 2: X- 40014 / Y- 58 / Z- 1908 Disclaimer: I don’t actually know how the pvp-enabling works; this is just my guess. --Final Note-- While this should make PvP different in theory, I cannot guarantee that this will actually change PvP fighting styles since all of this is just my own conception. I can’t even guarantee people will even use this arena for PvP if it is accepted. This being said, there is one more thing (in my opinion) that will change PvP from a “clickfest” to a more strategy based battle, and that is the problem of two players decked out in the best armor and weapons one could possibly obtain, which makes the whole fighting rather tasteless. To overcome this I will come up with “game modes” where players will only be able to use weapons and armor of a given “class”. Having pvp enabled will help me in developing these modes. Thanks for taking your time to review this, == SailWizzard == pls have mercy on my pvp arena request D:
